Signals are analyzed using two software packages. Signalvus-pc is used for real-time spectrum and vector analysis, and datavu-pc is used to analyze very large file sets generated when recording broadband signals.

Working with the RSA7100 is a powerful program called signalvu-pc, which is the basis for tektronix's traditional spectrum analyzer. Signalvus-pc provides deep analysis capabilities, including real-time spectrum analysis and multiple application software packages. Signalvus-pc also provides a programming interface for all external program measurements and Settings. The basic functionality of the free signalvus-pc program goes far beyond basic functionality and includes the following measurements.
