General description:Roswell Park Memorial Institute 1640 medium(DMEM), a regularly used cell culture medium, is a source of energy-rich media that includes glucose, vitamins, and amino acids. A 1:1 mixture of Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s medium (DME) and Ham′s F-12 nutrient mixture is commonly used in cell culture research. To compensate for the loss of buffering capacity caused by removing serum, 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid (HEPES) buffer may be added in the formulations at a final concentration of 15 mM.
Application:Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium/Nutrient Mixture F-12 Ham:
has been used as a component in the culture medium to culture primary culture-activated human hepatic stellate cells
has been used to culture the cartilage biopsies
may be used for the propagation of Cowdria ruminantium
